Ine Vanoeveren is the Innovation & Technology manager of Europe\u2019s pioneering event venue, the Corda Arena<\/a> at Corda Campus<\/a>, Hasselt, Belgium. With a capacity to host up to 4,000 attendees onsite and millions virtually, this cutting-edge facility merges technology seamlessly with human interaction.
Her interests specifically lie in cross-reality interactions within live events, combining physical performers with holographic and virtual performers for both a live and virtual audience.
She ideates and develops solutions for holographic live shows, social virtual live experiences and creative takes on emerging technologies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Belgian flutist and Doctor of Musical Arts, Ine Vanoeveren, is specialized in contemporary music and XR-performances. She obtained her Master\u2019s degree at the Conservatoire Royal de Musique de Li\u00e8ge (2010), in the class of prof. Toon Fret, a Master in Advanced Studies in Contemporary Music Performance and Interpretation (2012) in the class of Mario Caroli, at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana and a DMA in Contemporary Music Performance (2016) in the class of Prof. John Fonville, at the University of California, San Diego.
During her doctoral research, Ine focused on the development of a performance practice method for the music for flute solo by Brian Ferneyhough.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Performance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

She performed at several contemporary music festivals and concert series, such as Lanterna Rossa in Lugano, Internationales Musikinstitut Darmstadt, Wednesdays @7 in San Diego, Festival Musica Sacra Maastricht, Images Sonores in Li\u00e8ge, Complicated Europeans Festival in New York, FIME in S\u00e3o Paulo and the Monday Evening Concerts in Los Angeles. In 2017, Ine toured through North-America with her solo program UN(!)limited(?)<\/em> and lectured at several renowned universities, such as University of California, San Diego, New York University, City University of New York and McGill University at Montr\u00e9al, Canada.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ine won awards at the Action Classics Competition, Benelux Fluitconcours and was rewarded with a Belgian American Educational Foundation grant in 2013, to continue her research in contemporary music performance in the US. In 2016 she was awarded with the Kranichsteiner Stipendienpreise for Interpretation<\/em> by the Internationales Musikinstitut Darmstadt.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

RESEARCH & TEACHING<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

From 2016 until 2022, she was an artistic researcher at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp and PXL University of Applied Sciences and Art, Hasselt. In 2018, her book \u2018Tomorrow\u2019s Music in Practice Today: a practical guide towards performing contemporary music<\/em>\u2019 has been published by Antwerp University Press.
From 2016 until 2024, Ine was an assistant professor in contemporary music performance at the Royal Conservatory of Li\u00e8ge.

Ine is an active academic and keynote speaker, who is regularly being invited by international conferences and universities.

She is a B.A.E.F. fellow of the year 2013.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
